you know, have you though about a switch to water da sanding. if your not sanding putty work i would highly recommend it. it keeps the shop air very clean, and the water keeps the paper clean so your scratches fill easier..

I'm not sure how common it has become. I know we were a test shop 5 years ago in the paint department. (like i said cant use it on filler work)
yep i do use that method but only with the thinner filler/knifing putty its known by so many names.. its a grey paste like substance you use to fill in gaps and pinholes in filler.
and when sanding with wet/dry paper its virtually dust free until all the water evaporates lol..
but my issue is that its all the filler and fiberglass that makes the most of my mess for now.. until i start sanding the entire car down for the re-spray to get rid of the gloss..
