opinions please - turn signal mods Aveo

So, I want to modify my turn signals by adding a row of LEDs under or over the amber colored lens. Which do you like?
The big question is how the heck can I achieve this look ????? It needs a barrier between the clear and amber chambers and it can not leak water. I figure I'd have to put two rows of white LEDs. One for the running lights (clear) and one for the turn signals (amber).
What are your ideas to make this happen?

I'd suggest getting a clear lense from one of these aftrmarket shops online, and opening it to put the LEDS in and then sealing it back up. you can use the sockets to run the wiring through. I say get a clear one because it would be easier to see both white and amber colors of light and they would be housed inside to prevent **** from happening to them. (this solves the water proof problem). But thats just my opinion, someoneelse might be smarter than I. :|

and i like your mod its kick ass, so i say put white at the top. like your 1st pic.

i would take and buy some replacement signals before you attempt to do this. just a thought.

also, im not knocking your idea completely but do remember you did ask for opinions, so here goes:

IMHO, i feel it doesnt look that good. its like my CF vinyl on my headlights. it looks like you are trying way to hard. not trying to disrespect you or your car so keep that in mind when you respond.

edit: make a pic where the band on the turn is not silver, but rather yellow and post that, i want to see if that changes things.

I dont know if he still does them and I have heard they take a bit of work to make em fit. I think whiteraven has some he was looking to sell. it was in the for sale section a while ago.

I'd feel a lot better if I were buying the entire signal assembly and not just the lens...I'd be willing to pay for a DOT clear assembly...but it looks like the Cobalt is getting a LOT more attention from GM and the Aveo will soon be forgotten.
