      Paint Fail...

...so its started to bubble YAY! In the most random spot too on the roof near the rear on the drivers side. It has also chipped quite a bit more than I would have expected it to for only having 9950KMs. So year into its life and looks like I'll be doing some warranty work assuming it gets approved. I'm a little bit concerned about how the paint has held up given every other vehicle my family has bought new has never done anything like this. The dealer assures me that it would be peeling if there was a flaw in the paint, however if I recall correctly the infamous peeling white paint on w-bodys didn't start showing itself until a couple years down the road. Hopefully its just a weird one in a million occurrence because I really didn't want to be dealing with rust a year after buying this car. /rant

Otherwise I've been happy with this car. So hopefully it can get fixed.

Cool, that's good to hear. I go in either Monday or Tuesday to talk to them about it further in terms of the warranty specialists and what they can do. Apparently they need to re-do the whole roof, about a $500 job otherwise. The other paint marks are all small enough to be touched up. Actually the bubbling spot isn't very big either but I've fought with rust before and it's not fun so I would prefer getting it fixed sooner rather than later.
