Painting Front and Rear Emblems (how to remove?)

Hey guys. I have a 2008 White Aveo. I'm considering painting my front and back emblems black. I've heard several ways to remove the emblems and I'm pretty confident I can accomplish this little modification but I was wondering if anyone else has done this? I know that many people remove and replace their emblems with other emblems or remove them and do not replace them at all. I would still like to have the emblems, just painted black. What do you guys think?

We've got another member with a white Aveo 5 with tint & black accents and it looks really good, IMO.

Will let others with more experience chime in about the badge removal process.

i am too white and i want to add a lot of black on my car but the emblem must remain gold because of the symbol of the company!but, the other chrome parts must become black indeed!
