      Parking light problem HELP please.

My 05 Aveo the left side front rear and plate lights do not work. I have voltage at the fuse and a good fuse and good bulbs. If anyone has a direction for me to go next I would appreciate it very much. I love this car still even after the thermostat housing explosion and valve cover gasket fiasco.

I have the same problem, all fuses are ok, light bulbs ok. Also checked wiring in the left back side of the car. After checking the right parking lights back and front went of. Also the license plate lights are of bulbs are ok. I have no idea of what else to do. Grounds look ok too. Any suggestion I have no parking lights in the back. The signal lights do work and also the flashers and reverse lights work. Please help!!

check every fuse under the dash and in the engine bay, the lights are branched off some other fuse, and there are quite a lot of fuses, one of them has to be blown somewhere. I rememeber something was not working in my car and it was because of a blown fuse for some other part of the car, it is weird as hell. My escort was the same way too

Thanks for your reply, I have checked both engine and under the dash fuses 3 times with a tester and all of them are good. There must be something wrong somewhere probably wiring uffff! I cannot use the car during the night as it is not visible not even the license plate.

I would also check fuses and grounds, sounds very mysterious. What exactly happened to your thermostat and valve cover gasket. I personally changed the valve cover gasket and I'm waiting for my metal thermostat housing, it should arrive shortly!

Did you pull your flasher fuse, the big one? I think all of your lights run through that thing. They're like 5 or 6 bucks max at the parts store. Check that. If not, like rabbit said, check your grounds on all your lights with a test light or ohm meter.

      That would be a relay.

Technically, for what it does I would agree, it is a relay. They just call them Flasher Fuses. The pre-09hatch 07sedan models should be under the dash in the fuse box, but it might be in the one under the hood. Mine is on the driver's side of the dash, you have to pop that whole panel off and it's above the fuse box.
