      Removal of Foglight Inserts ???

      Hi.;
      Does anyone know how to remove the black inserts that are in the front bumper of the 2006 model Aveo? You know, if you didn't get the foglights installed, there are black inserts to fill the holes. I don't know if there are clips or screw holing them in. Or is it just pressure holding them in and some kind of clips on the backside?
      I want to remove them and paint them, but I don't want to just pull on them and scratch the bumper paint. So how are they held in? Is there a way to pop them out, to paint them and put them back in? I painted the grill deep red and want to paint the foglight inserts the same red, to add some 'accent' to the front of the car. Thanks.

      OR where can I buy the foglights and have them installed on the car. The price at the dealer is WAY to much. What other company sells the right ones? If any other company does sell them.

      Based on this video there are 2 or 3 screws holding them. And you need to dismount the front bumper to remove them.

      That is foglight removal. I have empty plastic black 'fillers' that cover up the holes when you DONT have foglights.

      Yes, in the video he removed first the fillers to install fog lights and its screwed with 2 screws.

      So basically that's how it should be removed. Dismount the bumper first.

      Maybe this thread will help you more. I guess you have the same model as his.

      Read through the #6 post and he manage to removed the fillers without having to unmount the bumper.
