Ordered some fx-r's and 6k bulbs from the retrofit source. Should come in tommorow. Anyone got any tips/tricks I should know before I start? A little nervous about cutting up my headlights, but I'll be sure to post pics when I'm done

I used Acura tls and found the housing to be plenty big enough on the first gen, can't speak for the second gen but i do recomend the jnc method JnC's Mounting Method (with Rotational Adj Capability)
it is way easier to get the cutoff to be level with each other, if i were to do it again i would do it that way instead of epoxy.
looks like i started something here, hehehe, the output from the fxrs will blast your old halogens out of the water, if you don't have a second car to use i would recomend going to your local scrap yard and trying to find a pair for cheap to work on
Word of advice to 2nd Gen aveo owners. DO NOT cook your headlights at 265 for 7 min. 200 for 4 min was fine. 265 melted the bottom of the housing
finished it up. put some amber led strips in the housing. The lights are only 6000k, they arent as blue as the pics show
I liked them more without the shroud lol. And yeah I got the fxrs because they were cheaper and still seemed like good quality. Also question, is there any way to make it so those amber leds are always on but flash with the blinkers? Right now they are spliced into the headlight leads (before ballast obviously)
Found something! Went to autozone and they had one, it is hopkins part # 48845 suppposed to be used for trailers, but will work for what i need it for. Found it here Inexpensive brake/turn or run/turn controller
Considering it, but I'm still on the fence
