Does anyone with the new styling hatches have the previous gen styling rear deck spoiler on their car? I can get one brand new from Suzuki for $100 bucks and was curious how it would look as the picture they had wasn't that great. I know I saw one awhile back but I can't recall where.
you can get the early styler spoiler cheaper than that and painted on ebay...
Not with shipping up to Canada, the stealership is cheaper (though its unpainted, I want to paint it myself anyway). Does anyone have that spoiler?
You would need to post a picture so people know which spoiler you are referring to.
There were about 5 spoiler offered for the shell amongst the various companies

the spoiler that is on the orange aveo, i have one collecting dust in my garage. it is the blue factory color (33U i believe is the paint code)

At this point, no one has expressed itnerest in buying it so chances are come spring it will probably still be collecting dust in my garage LOL. the weight is about 3 poundsa guess at the dimensions would be 4 foot long 7 maybe 8 inches wide and 4 inches high. you might be able to call who ever is in charge of duty fees and see if they can give you an estimate of what it may cost. honestly $60 on my end total plus duty fees if they your guess of $40 puts you at $100 and I think you mentioned you found a dealer that will sell you one for $100. so if duty fees are high you may be better of going to the dealer or ebay. Let me know, or come spring check back with me.

That is the exact spoiler and color I have. It is a few years old so in my opinion it needs to be rear cleared. the paint itself isnt bad, its just on the top portion its not as glossy as I think it should be. otherwise the spoiler itself is in great condition. In all fairness though, I would like to give sidewinder a few days to let me know if he really wants it, since he brought it up about buying it. I dont want to be rude and sell it right out from under him.Quote:

I'm just looking into the duty fees, though I need to actually go into a shipping office and confirm what I have found online (working 55 hours a week between two jobs sucks at times). i ship to canada a lot. you can ship duty prepaid with fedex (i have an international account) you can look up coding and etc on their site to know what it comes to before shipping though, so you both have a total.

It's a weird color as none of the websites show it correctly. Granted your blue is darker, the spoiler left undone might look good or dorky. Once I finish my move to SC and get my tools out, then I can shoot it and paint it to match. I am really interested if it does improve millage or not.

I have been swamped and just now getting back on the board. I moved all my stuff out of my house in Raleigh and drove down it down to SC over the weekend. Unloaded last night. Maybe this weekend I will work out templates from the pictures Paul provided and get my OEM spoiler on my car. It's screaming for it!
