this is the first time i have seen this thread bumped.. sorry i missed most of the conversation.

they are sitting on a shelf. they are off a 83 VW rabbit GTI. I have not made much progress, since august I have moved, started building a new house, started a new job, etc. It will be going under the knife here in a few weeks for a full redo.

the flares need "stretched" around the wheel wheel a little for my liking, the raw black plastic looks ok, but once its plastic welded etc, the painted black would look cheap and unfinished, so i think i am going to paint them just for that. only need 1 or two more flares for the donor sections.. I would also need a wider wheel, cut some clearance, and figure out the attachment of the wheel well.. then i will do it.

the car is in the shop to start a whole lot of work, including the flares.

damage that needs fixed:

wife pushed it our of the drive way sideways with her jetta, needs 1/4 straightened and door.

one of my students threw a teacher (not me) on the hood of the car in an altercation, needs hood.

front bumper is getting replaced, previous repair years ago is not up to par, but money was tight back then.

shave and boser hatch, add spoiler.

Paint Install flares (raised up with sectioned wheel wells for more tire/lower car).

clean and paint calipers on rear, install big brakes on front.

Paint wheel centers.

Overall paint job, not sure if i'm gonna go solid, or design, yet. I have to be "adult" about what I pick.
