tinting windows is really hard if you want a good clean look the best is to get it done professionaly. as far as the lights go i wouldnt touch the front except for maybe eyelids (use the vinyle they use on remote control hobby car windows for that), the taillights are really hard to tint with regular tint because of the angles, trusted me ive tried like 3 times and failed.

I bought a precut tint kit for my wifes 09 corolla 2 years ago, today when you see her car, you cant even tell the windows are tinted. tinting head and tail lights is illegal, most cops dont worry about the tails though if the reverse light portion remains untinted

in the state of ohio your tail lights have to be visible from 500ft (150m) away. dont know the laws for across the lake though if you know or see a police officer just ask them about it before you do it. i know one of the officers around here dont care as long as you can still see your taillights.

The only thing you have to consider when buying tint off a seller anywhere is the quality. Yes you may be able to buy enough tint to do your car for 30-50$ but what about all the time you spent crampped in your car just to have the tint discolor in a few months or have the adhesive go to crap. Most places in the U.S. charge alot but thier work is warrantied for a amount of time. I put some tint on my front parking lights and from far away it looks good but the tint has started to crack and bubble up. This is after they were cleaned and applied with a heat gun and looked showroom great when installed. I want to go with some VHT but then I think I will just eliminate them completely and put them in the headlight housings instead and color match the parking lights.

I got one of my windows tinted, it was perfect besides this one air bubble. I then said screw that, I'm not dealing with it for every window.. I'll just have to get it done professionally

Tints $30, big deal. I'd rather have mine all done on my own and feel good and accomplished that I did it myself, then dish out 4x as much money for someone doing the same thing...
