tinted the windows this weekend

Re: tinted the windows this weekend
When you do a curved back window again in the future heat from the outside with a heat gun and use massive amounts of soapy water on all the windows when you are squeegying out all the bubbles. I've done my fair share of windows and I dont claim to be great but I can tell you as you know now yourself-it is harder than it looks. Not bad for a first attempt. Better than fish-bowlin' it like me. :P
Re: tinted the windows this weekend
yeah the rear window does look crappy, the other ones i can live with, but i didnt know about the heat gun thing, i will consider that next time.
Re: tinted the windows this weekend
It's also easier to smooth out if your slit the tint over the top of your orange defrost wires.
Re: tinted the windows this weekend
Sorry to hear about the family trouble bud, but the tint looks damn good for the first time! I've redone mine over and over and over and it's tough.... very tough. I couldn't do my back window by myself so I had to get a friend that is really good at tinting to do it for me.. Looks good though

OH! And good luck in the back seat of an aveo. Don't even try it. Listen, get the girl on the passenger seat, lean it all the way back and scoot it all the way back and get on top, make her spread em'! good luck! Take my advice. lol

not too shabs.
This reminds me, I really need to stop being soo lazy and retint my rear driver side door window. Since that was the first one I attempted it didnt go as smoothly as the others and as a result has a couple lines in the tint. I probably should have redid that before tinting the hatch, because once I did that I just said, thats it for tinting. It wasn't all that difficult it just takes patience, which is something I don't have, at all.

i dont think it will be so bad in the backseat, have you tried in the back seats when they are bucket seats? all i can say is that is very fun. lol
Re: tinted the windows this weekend
I've tried tinting the windows myself on my '95 Ford Probe (when I was 16) and on my '03 Jeep Liberty (When I was 19) both turned out very poorly. Figured I don't want to mess up on my Aveo so I'll have it done professionally. You guys know how much it should cost? I've got an '07 LS.
Thanks!
