      Tips on Waxing?

If you have any tips on waxing your car, please post them up. I waxed my car for the first time and most of the car looks perfect but the hood for some reason came out with some streaks.

i find the hardest color car to do is black.....maybe it is because the hood is a top surface so that is where it stands out the most because i gets direct sunlight....also i find stray wax getting caught in the squirters to cause a problem during waxing

OK, so maybe i'll just wax the hood and remove it right after applying..

do you wax it in the shade...because streaks are usually caused by the wax drying on

Yeah I waxed it in full shade. Maybe i took too long in waxing the rest of the car.

Could be the wax that you used. I like ICE wax. The fastest easiest wax I have ever used. It does not leave a white residue on black trim or rubber around windows.

I have use wax that last longer, but for the amount of time and effort Ice is the best. I really mean it. You can wax a Aveo in less than 20 minutes Start to finish. An still have time to spray tire spray on the tires.

One caution use very little on the sponge applicator, if not I told you so.

yea ive used ice wax too...its good for a finishing wax because it gives off a wet shiney look but sucks at cleaning off stuff
