How large/widespread is the damage? Typically, touch-up paint is used to paint over small surfaces where there is exposed bare-metal or where paint is just beginning to chip. If it is just rock chips, your best bet is to use OEM touch-up paint from any GM dealership. Comes in a little bottle with both a pen-type tip and a small brush. You will not want to use a spray for rock chips.
I still have a bottle of this from 5+ years ago when I used to have my Trans Am. My Aveo shares the same paint code as my black TA.
From the picture in your profile there, it doesn't look that bad. I agree, just use the touch up paint. The only other option is to get the entire hood professionally done. My '04 was pretty bad for rock chips too. Really cheap paint on the early Aveos. I usually go to the dealer for the touch up paint. While the brand at the big box store may work exactly the same, I'm willing to pay a couple bucks more knowing it's got a GM label on it. Usually $15 or so, around here, just walk up to the parts counter and give them your year, model and paint code and you're set.
Short of going to the dealer, you can try the popular aftermarket brand found at auto stores. Some paint colors might be hard to find. I couldn't find my color there, so I ordered it from this company:

The color was a perfect match. It's a good product.
