Trunk Lip Spoiler **Feeler Thread**

So, if one could be made and sold at an affordable price, would you want one? I know Ive talked about making a whole lip kit for the Aveo, but before I start that I want to make sumtin a little smaller and see how well that goes. Also, how much are you willing to pay for it? This will be for the 04-06 Aveo sedans initially, but dont fret 07-^ Aveo sedan owners, I will get there. It will be some time before I get on this project as it is pending approval by the "board" (my gf), and how fast I can pay off alot of my bills. Feedback please and/or vote in the poll!

This gives a rough idea of what it will look like. This is just the mold and it will be trimmed down a bit smaller to where it will sit about 1.5-2 inches off the deck of the trunk and it will also extend over the rear quarter panels a bit. Also the top corners will be rounded. Use your imagination :lol:

Mike, I definitely would purchase one if it went into production. I wish there were more items available for the first gen sedans. It always seems like we get left behind for all the newer generations of the Aveo. And yes I voted for it!!

I would like one but I drive a second gen. So I'll have to wait.

Well like I said in the OP,everyone will have to wail a while as I am still awaiting approval to go ahead and swing it into production. But I definetly like how this thread is going and I intend to "borrow" a 2nd gen from a dealership for a day or two to make up the molds and try and get at least one hard product made. But that may not be until fall... :( :shock:

I'm in. The 04-06 sedan is in desperate need of a some aftermarket spoilers/body kits. I may have to photoshop one onto my car to get an idea of what it will look like....

If you could post those back when you are done that would be wonderful. And if you can even think of a few ways to vary it... I love new ideas or additions to ideas.

Mike, I was wondering if it would look stupid overhanging the the tops of the quarter panels, or maybe I should say extend the width of the car?

Well what do you think? I was gonna have it come over the rear quarter panels about an inch or so on each side. The more feedback I am given, the better I can help you guys acheive the look you want. But remember, I am not a business, Im just a fella with a vision for the Aveo. So like I said before it will be some time before I can do this.

your design looks pretty dope mike. its depressing that nobody has any thoughts on us hatchback users.

If I had a hatch Id be working on that but, I have the sedan and there is literally nothing out there exterior wise for the sedan that can readily bolt up. Unlike the hatch that has a few body kits already made for it. So, once I get my approval or someone kicks me some money, then...ITS ON!

does it only come in carboard and duck tape or can I get a balsawood version? :lol:

Actually I am working on a bamboo and hot glue version LMAO :lol:

It will be made out of fiberglass. I am anxious to get started on it, but when I brought it up the other day with the GF oops, I mean board, I got the "look."

So I went and sat back down :lol:
