FASTEST AVEO IN ONTARIO
uh, what stress are we talkin about? if u are not puttin down at least 200 wtq then there shouldnt be too much stress on ur hubs, they are pretty solid as is, so whatever you are doin right now should be ok, even with the big rims.Originally Posted by Aveo_Tuner

You do realize that the lug nuts do not support any weight of the wheel. They just secure them to the hub. And filling in the back with fiberglass would be a bad idea because of the parachute effect it will cause. I would guarantee a loss in mpg and acceleration. And I think the mesh would look ricey because it is too much of an area to fill.Originally Posted by Aveo_Tuner
maybe another suggestion would be vents built into the rear of the bumper (only if it was fiberglassed in). that would help with the drag problem.
or maybe a redesigned rear bumper. whiteraven was/is working on one.

but then the question is, why buy an aftermarket rear bumper if you are gonna change everything about it?
hey im just tryin to throw ideas out there. thats kind of like asking why buy a car if you are going to change everything about it u know? it would just give him something to work with. and maybe because its the only wide body kit for our car (that i know of).

I say go for it...I bought a previous SEMA car...everyone thought I'd just drive it... but I used it as a base to make a car I can be really proud to own for a long time.
If you are gonna start on a widebody, I suggest you join http://www.FiberglassForums.com and read up on all the helpful information there...you can save alot of money by making your own fender flares with foam and a hot knife.
If you really want to do a special wide body kit for your aveo. You should look into getting a rear bumper piece from a lancer body kit. It will require some customizing but both sets will, just another option. Check out http://www.body-kitz.com/index1.html for body kit options, I know you can get it cheaper on other sites.
