It doesnt drop at all. I am talking about maybe 1/8 of an inch. For some reason its still enough for the thing to make noise. When I push on the crank I am basically forcing it to seal that last 1/8 of an inch. Window stays up fine...
Back again with an update on this stupid wind noise thing. I started to think about how the window actually works on the door. Well the reason it would stop the noise is because the window would push the upper door out and stop the noise. So I tried playing with the door adjustments and nothing seemed to work.

Later I started to feel how much of the rubber seal was sticking out into the "wind" areas and notice an ever so slight protrusion of the rubber. It seems this is where the pieces were melted together (around the mirror area). Took a razor blade and shaved it back to look just like the drivers side.

Now... I cant honestly say if I got the adjustment finally correct or if that little piece of rubber was the cause. But it has been fixed. I seriously think that the rubber piece was the problem. It would probably catch the air, open up the seal of the door and make that whining noise. We just had 40mph winds recently and it didnt make any noise even while I was at 70mph. Lets hope this was the cause. If not I will dig up this old post and start over again.....
