      window tint pricing

i went to a local glass place and got a quote on tinting for the aveo and they said it would cost $275 and i went up to Camper City (big acessory place in my area) and they quoted me $225 there is a big difference in the two prices dont yah think. anyway my question is, is $225 outrageous for a tint job or is it normal or do you think its just my area.

You should ask local tuners where they got theirs and how long ago they got it. That's the safest way to do it because tint looks good when it's first done but if its a crappy type of tint..a few months down the road it'll go from black to purple.

i have got sevral cars tinted, and have the aveo tinted, the aveo quote was 250, but he said if i payed in cash he will take off 5% so it was a little less. but that is for all 5 windows. if you can get it for 225 that is a pretty good deal to me. but like aveogyrl said check with some local cats, cause you may be able to get a better deal

You can also buy a pre-cut tint kit on eb*y and do it yourself for under $60. It's not rocket science to putting these one. You just need a clean area, a helper, and patience.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to avoid tint like this that will turn to purple after? Is there any signs to watch out for? Also, from those that have it done, how does the Aveo look with tinted windows. I have the hatch and I'm looking at getting everything but the front windows and windshield done.
