Just wondering if anyone else has a problem with their wipers lifting at highway speeds and if changing blades to the flex-type will help.

I bought the flex type and they were worse then the orriginal. Yes, the orriginal lifts as well.
I've used these on a smaller scale and they solved the problem.

wiper wings? they come standard on some cars built to go faster (audi a4, vw r32)
dont know what these ones in particular look like. but a search for wiper wings revels a couple styles..
They're typically pretty tacky so I think i'll pass on those.Originally Posted by petrified.rabbit
I wonder if a person could just replace the factory wiper arm spring with one of a higher tension .Originally Posted by 07_aveo

That would be the best way to go about it because I can lift the arm about 2" off the windshield and it stays there, seems like the springs are pretty weak. I might have to see if the dealer thinks it's enough of an issue to warranty it, probably not though.
i got same prob, i always just spray the hinge with wd40 and white lithium when it acts up and its fine. try that first.Originally Posted by 07_aveo
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
the springs in all my wiper arms went bad last year, i replaced all wiper arms, and wiper blades, and now 1 year after the rear and the driver wiper arm spring is bad again, can't we just buy aftermarket wiper arms?
Its more fun to drive a slow car fast, rather than drive a fast car slow!
