Front speakers are 4 inches, rear speakers are 6 3/4 inch. Crutchfield.com has a list of speakers that will fit without modifying the doors.
I wouldn't worry too much about diameter, so much as mounting depth. You could easily get some 6 inch speakers in the front door with a little saw and drill work... and if your speakers end up being too deep, you can always get a spacer.
I managed to cram some 5 1/4 inch speakers in the door of my little hatchback, and they sound great. It did take a lot more time since i had to go at my speaker box with a scroll saw and some sandpaper to get the opening to fit, and then drill new screwholes... but it worked out, and I'm happy with the result. So, if you're willing to put in a little extra work, you could fit in larger speakers
