09 aveo5 LT/ sound system

Id like a better sound system, definately nothing that will break the bank..and hopefully something that will fit within existing parameters without any modifications. Can anyone give me and reccomendations or tips?

are you looking for the type of boom where people hear you coming or jus a little bump?

I don't care about what other people hear, especially outside the car. I just want a better sound inside...as opposed to what the stock speakers provide..which I'm sure are just crap cheapest option ones.

Are you looking to replace everything? Just a few things? I replaced everything and added one 12" in the back. But, we had to cut into quite a bit, that's why I'm asking.

What I did was bought 2 6x9s in put them in boxes.and put on the floorboard behind the front seats.And hook a amp up to them.

Had the same problem.. The normal speakers was so terrible that I wanted to blow up my Aveo..

However I bought some JBL/harman speakers for the front and back and simply just replaced with the stock speakers.


It doesnt make your car a rolling club, but it makes the sound more clear and lets you play with a higher volume without destroying the sound.

I'm going to install a sub and amp soon, and will return with results
