So I recently upgraded my speakers (Chevy aveo 2010 5dr HB)
the rear speakers now sound amazing with some powerful bass and good sounding mids and highs.
the problem is that the front speakers still sound like crap. aka little to no bass and very pitchy highs.
they destort a lot when I play some more bass heavy songs on max volume with the eq set to rock. (I have an aftermarket head unit: Xtrons TE706PL)
these are the front speakers: JVC CS-DR420 they have a frequency range of 113-23k (35W rms 220W peak)
After reading about the 6.5"speaker mods for the aveo I got a little to excited and bought a pair of these: JVC CS-J620X they have a frequency range of 35-22k
I'm going to try them tomorrow and see if they are actually good (and if not I'm gonna send them back and buy another pair)
my problem is however that I forgot about the spacers and I honestly have no idea which ones I should get.
I saw these:
https://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SGM...s.html?tp=2824
But I don't know if they will fit.
the mounting depth of the new 6.5"speakers is 1.69"
So I was wondering if I actually needed spacers anyway but since I don't know the depth of the car I'm not sure so if someone knows please tell otherwise I'm going to measure it myself.
In the end my question is as the title says which spacers should I get? Do I actually need any? will the new 6.5" sound better than the 4" both are about the same price
PS: I live in the netherlands and I don't have a credit card currently so it would be great if the website uses Paypal or if the spacers are available on Amazon.de
