If you are running a class D amplifier, then yes you will get 300 rms on both subs....

what if its not? how does the efficincy have anything to do with power going in to one sub to another?

Efficiency will set what kind of wattage you will really see. With class D amplifier being the most efficient upwards to 97%, according to my Electrical Engineer friend at Texas Instruments, they are the recommend amplifiers for playing low frequencies. Class A/B amplifiers have an efficiency of 67% max so they will get really hot when used to play low frequency thus losing a lot of wattage to heat. So I guess to answer your question it differs from amplifier class to class but ideal would be class D and also differs from brand to brand. So without knowing the model in question, I will have to say that in theory you will not get a true 300 watts RMS on both subs, and I can not say what you are getting, if you are not running a class D amplifier.

The amplifier is a class A/B amp.

Do you want an alternative to your amplifier or have you already purchased the amplifier?

im trading in for an old digital camera i have, so basicly free

so if i put 300watts in to the 2 subs wired up in paralel to 2 ohms will each sub be geting all the power or will the power be split in to half.

      According to crutchfields' website:
      http://www.crutchfield.com/S-PaM9TTf...120&I=108R311A
      You will see, 116 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (312 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)

So theoretically if you present the amp with a 2 ohm load you might be able to get the amp to produce 312 watts RMS which more the likely will be split (class A/B feature) between your subs.
