      i did the install of Sony xplod 250W (50 rms) 6.5" 4-way speakers yesterday. i made two spacers out of 3/4 MDF and used the three stock holes. fits real well and the window doesnt hit the magnet.

      Here are some pics of my 6.5" alpine (Alpine SPS-17C2) speakers from crutchfield in the front door. These speakers also have the adjustable tweeters, they rotate about 15 degrees around. I adjusted them up of course.

      These were a little deeper than I thought they would be; I had to add an additional harness (included with the alpine speaker set) so the speakers wouldn't hit the window. I also had to cut the inside of the door panel. There was a couple of plastic lips for the stock speakers that interfered when I tried to re-attach the door panel. I used clippers to cut the lip off.
