Advice on aftermarket radio

Aveo Hatchback 2008.

I currently has a Panasonic aftermarket radio installed.



Heres the radio i have ordered - DEH-X4750BT Car Stereo with RDS tuner, Bluetooth, USB and Aux-In. Supports iPod/iPhone Direct Control and Android Media Access (Single DIN) - Pioneer Car Stereo, Radio

I assume in order to attach the new radio, id need to cut the wires that go into the current radio and join them onto the connector that comes with the Pioneer so it'll fit into the rear of the radio?

That would work, but it's more work doing that while in the car then if you purchased a wire harness adapter.

Don't hack the wiring up, just use a radio harness.

Metra part is 70-8405, Scosche is GM07RB.

Edit: The Scosche part is DO01B
