alarm install on a second gen

Well I searched the threads and only got a little bit of info. Im debating on installing a viper 2 way alarm on my own. Its dirt cheap, I have some basic know how in the ignition, grounds, and 12+ areas , but am lost in the areas of + or - door triggers and parking lights. Can anyone provide helpful info, or how to. Or should I not bother and pass the install on to a pro. Oh yeah I don't care about door locks or remote start b/c its a ls base model

Since you don't have power locks, I'd think you wouldn't have door triggers? (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.) You could just use the dome light supervision.

thanks I ll give it a go. According to the link dome light and door triggers use the same wires, trial and error seems to work more often than not...

could not get key to program- I guess I had screwed up 2 of the wires, so I had a local guy do it. He did all 4 doors hatch and hood. The siren is not loud enough so I may run the battery to the trunk and add a blaster( bull horn) siren.
