      Question Amp Compatibility

      Hello all,
I am a newbie at car mods, my first car (89 BMW E30 with 250,000+ miles.) had an aftermarket HU and the factory amp was left in the truck. Blaupunkt (part #7607395140) I am not even positive it works, the little glass fuse on it is definitely busted. Just tossing a little (free part I already have) mod out there.
Can I install this amp in an Aveo?

well that depends on how that amp is wired up. If it has a simple power and ground and remote wire and rca style inputs and regular speaker outputs. Post a pic of it.

Man that's a mess of custom wire harness hell. That must have been custom built for BMWs. No thanks. Go purchase regular amp, if you need more power. Or sell it on ebay: BMW Stereo Radio Amplifier 7607395140 A3859472 Blaupunkt E24 E28 E30 M3 M6 | eBay

Nice, if I was to get $80 for it would that be enough for a new amp?

after I get the money to upgrade to Kenwood HU, all speakers, would I need an amp? I am not looking to add a sub. How many channels if an amp is still needed?
I am looking to upgrade because when I start my car everything sounds ok, then after I start moving the sound kinda dims down, I think it may be the pillar tweeters, if I have the bass setting anywhere near 0 range the driver door speaker rattles like crazy (like something may be loose in there. I would just like to have a nice sounding stereo that sounds just naturally sounds good. (not fuzzy, or overloaded with boom or vocals just a naturally good sounding mix.)
      I am open to suggestions

I bought a cheapo chinese double din head unit with a GPS. It's ok. Going domestic with a known brand works. However some of the brands build in a lot of profit into their designs.

Need something that kicks out at least 20-50 amps.
I prefer SD card over USB stick (they stick out)
CD players just break these days
      Blue-tooth is important

Anything that says it has an amp per channel and preferably per speaker.

No need for a sub, as you are really listening to a compressed sound. Not really much of recommendation but more of feature search list. You should be able to get something decent around 100 bucks. You will need to get a wiring harness adapter. So put that in your budget.

BTW if your sound system is sounding bad, it may not have enough amps to push the sound you want.
