Audio Configuration (cannot get any bass -- need help)

Hello there! I have bought a JVC KD-R 561 HU and I replaced back speakers with Pioneer TS-G1731i 6.5' speakers.
I cannot get any bass and it sounds good only if I stay with my head sticked to the windshield :/. Are there any HU configurations that can make them sound good? On the front doors I have the original Chevrolet 4' speakers. I plan to change those too.
      Thank you for your help

They aren't technically 4" speakers. They are 4.5" speakers. They are a bastard size that has very few decent options. That said, your 6.5's in the back should have decent bass. I'd check and see if you have a highpass filter set on them and at what frequency, because if you do, too high of a highpass will filter out most of the bass that the 6.5 is capable of.

What is that "Highpass" ? I'm a newbie in this domain.

It's a type of electronic filter that keeps any lower frequencies from being played. Everything "higher" than the frequency selected plays, while the frequencies below are rolled off to inaudible levels. Looks something like this:

The bottom right (Band Stop) is barely used.

Bandpass is generally used for midwoofer or midrange drivers, as it combines a highpass and a lowpass to have a specific bandwidth to play through the driver. As an example, an 80hz highpass and 3khz lowpass. That would mean everything from 80hz to 3khz would play through that driver, while everything below 80hz and above 3khz would be rolled off to being inaudible. That section that plays would be the "bandpass".

A highpass is generally only used for high frequency drivers, like tweeters and supertweeters, as it keeps lower frequencies out. However, a highpass often times can be found labeled as a subsonic filter, and is used with subwoofers. In this case, the filter is usually a very, very low frequency, like 10-30hz, and is used to protect a subwoofer that is in a ported enclosure from playing notes that are under the tuning of the box. That's a whole other can of worms, though.

A lowpass is used on subwoofers, generally. It keeps the subwoofer from trying to reproduce higher frequencies that it is not designed to play. Can also be used for woofers/midwoofers, but it's not as common.

Hopefully that helps explain it a bit.
