Hey, I have removed the stock radio from my Aveo 2005 and replaced it with a pioneer 5200 radio and now when I turn it on, the audio only works for around thirty seconds or so. I cut off the harness for the stock and wired up the harness that came with the new radio. I've been over the wiring five or six times and I'm certain that is all correct. I used this wiring guide here: 2005 Chevrolet Aveo Car Stereo Wiring Guide Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow Car Radio Ground Wire: Black Car Radio Illumination Wire: Brown/White Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Light Green/Red Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A Car Audio Front Speakers Size: N/A Car Audio Front Speakers Location: N/A Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Violet Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Green Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Blue Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Brown Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: N/A Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: N/A Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Green Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): White I guess I should ask if that is correct before I go messing with anything else. The audio will come back on (briefly) once I've turned the car on and off, or, I've noticed, if I mess about with the options for the rear speakers. I just got the stereo back from the dealer today, so I'm certain there is nothing wrong with that. I admit I thought this would be easier than it has turned out. Do I need to amplify the signal, or try a different power source? If so, which one? Is it possibly a fuse or relay problem? The clock only works intermittently, but that didn't effect the old radio at all. Thanks for any help offered.
