The problem occurred recently, after I bought an 8GB flash drive.
Previously I used a 2GB flash drive which worked flawlessly (filled with around 1.5GB of music). As soon as I got my hands on the 8GB flash drive I immediately transferred all 1.5GB of music on it, connected it to the car stereo through the USB port and it worked great.
Yesterday I added additional songs to the flash drive and it was now filled with 3GB of music. When I connected it again to the car stereo it took it a lot more to read the files and after around a minute of playing it would simply freeze or it would just show the NO FILES error message.
My question is: is there a limit to the flash drive size that is supported by the stereo? (for example it supports flash drives up to 4GB or something)
Additional info:
- the flash drive is formatted as FAT32 filesystem
- the flash drive is connected to the USB port of the car stereo with a regular USB male-to-female adapter
- the cable is not damaged in any way
