Back seat won't lock after being down for work

Today I had to replace the fuel sensor on the fuel pump. I did this and when finished I have tried to put the drivers
side back seat and the notch is missing the locking mechanism by about a half an inch. The passenger side closes and locks fine. So WT? I have checked all the seat belts and the locking parts and they are all there, nothing is
causing the seat be off by that much but it is. I spent an hour on that alone. I finally just locked a shoulder strap and and a sealt belt to hold them in place while driving tomorrow. Either I did something wrong to make it that way or it's
always been that way and I am just now discovering this on my 2007 Chevy Aveo5. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

I'm guessing the cover of the fuel pump is not aligned properly.

I never moved the fuel pump. I simply replaced the sensor which is a very small part on top of the fuel pump. It's also in an
area under the seat which has nothing to do with the back of the seat. Thank you.

Is it missing high or low? Did you remove the seatback while working on the fuel pump? There's a lot of important details missing in your post.

Also, consider posting a picture of the problem and the hinge points

It's missing the latch below. I did not remove the seat. I pulled the 2 rings forward on both sides and the seat lifts up without
removal. I will post a picture tomorrow. Thank you Enxebre and EAD15.
