I have ordered mine off of eBay it like 10 bulbs for 10 bucks, and i only need 5, but i would like to change the lights in the a/c control, this is the first gen hatch 2006. Ive seen several pictures of people who have changed, if someone could link a video on how to take the a/c unit out that would be great, i don't want to tear anything that's going to cost to much. or even any pictures of a how to would be great, once i get it out ill have no problems, i just dont know where to start.

      Thanks

I haven't seen anyone actually post pics but it's REALLY easy to change the bulbs on the first gen AVEO5.
To take it off just unscrew the top two screws above the speedo, pull the front off, then unscrew the 5 larger screws that hold the speedo in. Unplug the cable from the bottom and flip the speedo over to access the bulbs, then just twist the bulb holders out as shown: http://www.aveoforum.com/forum/f103/...63/#post174086
For the 5 big bulbs you need T10/168/194 for the 1 little bulb you need T5/74/73 just look on eBay and buy extra cuz they're from china so they don't always all work. You can see there are 5 small bulbs up top for the turn signals, driving light, e-break, etc. but I wouldn't change those colors as they're actually clear bulbs and the color is in the "display."
I haven't pulled apart the center console and I don't know if I ever will to change those bulbs so I can't help there other than they're also T5/74/73 bulbs.

Red LEDs for a red car. Red is actually less harsh on eyes at night, allowing full use of night vision. This is why they use red lights below deck in ships/subs.

The insturment clusters take 4 or 5 (I believe its 4 but its been awhile since I have had mine off) t10 bulbs or 195. The bulbs with 5smd leds work best. The thermostat control are t5 led and tgere are 4 of them. Also tge park break warning light along with the turnsignal and high beam indicatur lights are the t5 as well. The shift indicator light showing wat gear your in is extremeky hard to get to. I got to mine but ir was melted and I ended up breaking the dust cover on it and u can't get anoyher unless you buy a whole assembly. I don't reccomenf trying it.

Sweet! Didn't know this existed. I have a PDF for people who wanted to know how to access the lights
