i just redid my cluster, now its blue. i want to change the color of the dash area near the radio. thats what im looking for.

i just did this on my 08 aveo hatch.
1. remove the two plastic pieces on either side of the radio they just pop off
2. unscrew 4 bolts holding radio and 4 bolts holding HVAC.
at this point you can either stick ur hand in there and un twist the 4 bulbs in there and replace them
OR (b/c its hard to twist them back in)
3. there are 4 screws 1 in each corner facing opposite you holding the trim frame for the HVAC in place. Unscrew those and pry off the front. You will need to remove the knobs for everything they just pull straight off.
4. switch bulbs and enjoy.
Hope thats enough detail for ya. Also there's 4 bulbs in there.
