nice would like to see this on the 09 style dash

i did this on my old ford ranger but had to scrap off the green for the lights to change color
if i just change the bulbs will it still be green i wonder or will the dash actually be blue?

It will be blue if you go led, led gives a nice true blue color.

We dont have a film on the back of our cluster, it's just little green condoms on the bulbs. It will glow whatever color you change em' to. I'm changing mine in my 09' to orange LEDs.

I was trying to find some pink or purple leds for my gf's forenza. All they want to sell on ebay are the 1 watt leds, for a dash you really don't need an led that big lol. And for 2 of them I can buy another set of 10 blue leds.

There was someone on here that had 7 color LEDs in his dash and it looked sick, but its hard to read your guages sometime...hang on I'll find it again.

Those are pretty sick, I might just have to get some... just don't want the gf getting in an accident from the distraction lol

Like I said the only thing that would bother me is straining to read my gauges. I want them bright.

yeah, same here. My guages aren't bright but bright enough to see just fine.

      Re: Changing Dashboard Light Color?

Yeah, that's important too... it can't be too bright otherwise it gets annoying fast. That's like my head unit, the screen on it is such a fricken bright blue I have to put my hand over it sometimes. I think I might have to put a 20% tint on it, or hook it up to the dimmer switch and un hook the guages so I can turn the radio illumination down.
