The clock resetting is a known issue. You have 2 choices to remedy the situation. Either resolder the board in the clock, or source a known used unit (or new).

Thank you Eg.h2o that finally makes sense. I got this car several years ago and my grandson used it for the last eight years or so he finally gave up on it (not mechanically inclined) I took it back and have been revuilding it ever since. Mostly parts from the junkyard
the clock was driving me crazy since it reset to 1:00 on most time and worked on others.Cannot find a ne one thought so I will resolder all the joints I can see.

Mine is a 2011, I was able to resolder the joints that i saw cracks in the tin solder and remelt the ones that were smaller i reinstalled the clock set the time and hope for the best i will check the time first thing in the AM. Again EG.h2o I thank you im not a mechanic but i am not afraid to dive in, if it makes sense some of those other suggestions made absolutley no sense to me.
