So ive been looking at getting cruise control i my new 2010 Aveo5 LS. Ive gone to dealers and websites and no one carries the new ones. so i was wondering if i could use a 2009 cruise control switch, and if i can does anyone have any preferred websites?
The most we would know at this point about the 2010 is probably in the 'How-To' section of the forums.
I just added a cruise control in my 09. I tried the GM switch thing first but to no success. I went with an aftermarket unit. Here's a link. Was an easy install.

+1. Could have put it under the turn signal lever... It's usually below the regular switches, not above... Is it permanently mounted in there or can you still move it?
I'm not crazy about the position but if it was under the turn signal it wouldn't be seen. I can still move it but not right now. I had shoulder surgery a few days after I installed the thing and my arm is in a sling for the next 4 weeks. Remember the turn signal doesn't just move up and down but in and out for the dimmer. The factory cruise switch is in the wheel and is wired to the thing in the steering wheel and it turns with the wheel. Go out to your cars and mock up a place to mount the stalk. I'm open for any ideas,
I meant below it when you're looking AT the wheel, so it would be still seen. Plus, how often do you actually look at the cruise control switch? Most of the times I just learn it the first couple of times I drive the car and then just do it by memory. My $0.02
I had originally put it on the bottom but didn't care for it there. When I have both arms back I'll play with it some more.
