      Nice man!!!

One thing I don't understand tho. (In your Airbag light thread) You're complaining about a under 100 dollar diagnostic job to find out why your airbag light is on, but you have no problems buying an in dash DVD player and putting an exhaust on your car????

It's the principle. The dealership doesn't need to charge me $100 just as a diagnosis if I plan to get it fixed there anyway.

I agree, it should take 3 seconds and then the repair. Charging the 100 bucks and the repair is a ripoff. Granted they are paying back the capitol of the machine, but that should be folded in the cost of doing business. Now back to the important stuff, what did you use to mount your sat controller. Looking for a better way to mount my phone that does not look cheesy. Can you take a picture of the mount?
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

The mount came with it. It uses 3m tape but I screwed it to the dash to be sure. Then it clips to the back of the radio.

Yes, I am. I miss my Aveo sometimes for the simplicity of getting stuff installed.. Cobalt that I drive now requires Axxess unit (I believe that's what's it's called) to properly interact with bose system and steering wheel controls... $120 on top of the price of whatever head unit I would install....

I did have a cobalt a few years ago. It was a supercharged base model but still. This dvd player, I didn't even need a wiring harness or dash kit. And it all works perfectly fine. Simplicity on cars is better. My g8 has so much stuff on it I wouldn't dare messing with it.

The cost of a professional scanner and the quarterly updates runs into thousands of dollars. The tech's time must be covered as well. I agree that $100 is a little steep. Here in booming Alberta where wages are high and tradesmen are in short supply we charge .6 of an hour or $59.40 for a scan and diagnosis (the scanner points the tech in the right direction, but the tech makes the final diagnosis, and that is what you pay for).
