I have looked all over the internet and this was nowhere to be found. Hope this helps anyone else with the same issue.
My carbon fiber looking armrest came off one night when my gf shut the rear door a little hard. It was already loose and it just came off. After passengers having to avoid using that door for a month, I fixed it and here's how.
First, use two flatheads to slide between both sides of the triangle panel above the door panel. The clips are much easier to pop off than the inside mirror panel of the front door(thank God) and it popped off with ease. Next, undo 4 screws- 1 armrest under a tab, 1 in the door handle, 2 around the side of the door panel. Finally, remove the window crank with a flathead if you can, slipping it between the crank and the plastic washer. I reccommend doing this with the door closed so if the clip flies off, it stays in the car.
lift and pull the door panel right off. Be sure to pull off the silver part around the handle and the lock slips out as well. Now just locate the screws that fell out of the armrest and screw them back in the panel. Now just reverse the procedure and you're gtg!
