I know this has probably been answered before..but here goes.....I bought some aftermarket fog lamps for my '07 Aveo, and was wondering, where is a good place to put the switch? I would like to make it look like it belongs if I could, not just some afterthought piece of plastic... :D
If you can buy another hazard switch and use one of the knock outs on the dash?
I removed the little compartment just below the radio and drilled a hole in the back of it so the wires could run through the back. I then placed the switch inside the compartment and then pushed it in as far as it would go. You can't see the switch until it is turned on because it glows.
to the left of the steering wheel, and to the right of the dimmer switch. Its a perfect place. There is relatively easy access to it behind (spot for the wires and the backside of the switch to go and its kinda like a factory place too.

wait you have the switch mounted into the lil cubby hole under the radio. isnt that annoying to turn on and off?
when i put fogs on my car (i removed them later) i cut into the plastic panel with a razor below the steering wheel/above the pedals and mounted the swith there. its pretty discreet and you can still reach your hand up into it to hook up the wires. the sad thing is that the switch is still there as i dont want to remove and now have that hole there. but i was thinking about putting some different fogs in so i may use it again anyway.
