Front passenger interior plastic door handle busted

and I'm sorry but $210 plus tax at the dealership is just way out of my budget for a freaking plastic handle.

How hard is it to find these handles?
      could a girl replace it?
      easily?

      lol.

      2011 Chevy Aveo
well, and really not a "girl" technically, i mean, yeah, I'm a girl but a grown up one.

went on a day trip a month ago and now I have a crack in my windshield - right in front of the rearview mirror and not obstructing my field of vision. The crack comes down about 12" and then turns 90° towards the driver about another 12". grr. That's $300 right there.

thanks in advance for advice, words of wisdom, etc.

Door handles really aren't difficult replace. I think the only tool you probably need is a screw driver and the spare handle. Check out youtube for videos on how to replace them. If you can't find any Aveo specific ones just watch a different make. They're all fairly similar.

I think I found online - Replacement Door Handle - REPCV462107 - Interior, Without door lock hole, Chrome, Front or Rear, Passenger Side

      Manufacturer Number: REPCV462107

but what does the "without door lock hole" mean??
      URL for that site http://goo.gl/S7GUpp

      says "Guaranteed to fit your
      2011 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4 Cyl 1.6L"

      and is just under $20.

found another one, doesn't say anything about "without door lock hole"

URL 2011 Chevy Aveo Sedan Chrome Interior Door Handle Front or Rear Passenger Side at 1A Auto.com

      about the same price.

      thanks again.

okay went to the GM site and found the part number. Although I still don't know what the "without door lock hole" means, I ordered one from the 2nd site I posted. They had free ground shipping! and their specs said it was replacment for the same part #.

since my brother broke it, I might have him install it. LOL. or attempt to do it myself and gloat if successful, call for his help if not. this seems like a win-win for me. )

thanks for anyone who is reading this.
      have a nice weekend.
