gauge led bulb type

i want to change the color of bulbs in my gauge display in my 2008 aveo5 htbk ls...and there is all kinds of forums but nobody ever says how many, and what type to use exactly.. and also what bulb is suggested to prevent "hot spots" (i dont even understand what they are??) also want to confirm i dont have to unplug anything, or mess up my rpm needle or speed needle.

Smd bulbs should prevent hot spotting, and it has been posted in the forum. Best way is to take it apart count the bulbs and get the sylvania size to use for purchase.

For the gauge cluster, you'll need 5x of type 194 bulbs. The odometer has a size 24 bulb, but also has a green film therefore changing it's color might not work.

For the heater controls, you will need 4x of type 74.
