looks good
Wow... looks good. way better than regular 5x LED bulbs that I have installed in mine... doesn't look like you have any spotting compared to mine... the SMD is what I would go with if I didn't already have LEDs coming from black cat customs guys with the gauge face...
[size=85]It looks really nice, glad you might be happy with the blue gauge. Before doing the color change in my car I did read around the web that SMD LED bulbs were the way to go as for putting them in the instrument cluster panel so it will spread out even the light output so thats why I got those bulbs. =D>
AveoGirl, what leds did you use on the licence plate lights?
I used the same 6 SMD Leds but in white of course.
That's cool. I went with the overpowered single LEDs (3 watt each I think), very happy with them... Cool white in color.
Nice choice which by the way I've seen those floating around in eBay ... Do you have a picture of installed in your car? I'm wondering how those bulbs look like.
here's one I took a while back with my old phone. It's crappy quality, but shows how bright they are.Quote:

Pretty bright I see however still looks nice.
Thanks. However the camera on my old phone made them too blue. They're cool white with a very slight hue of blue.Quote:

To be honest with you, I don't remember the seller I bought it from exactly, but I believe it was these guys (I remember thinking that 12 bucks was a little too much, but was very happy with the result when I got them). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WHITE-LE ... 662wt_1336Quote:

would these work on the gauges?
2X Blue 6 SMD LED 194 168 T10 Car Light Bulb Lamp 3020: eBay Motors (item 320603761706 end time Oct-21-10 19:10:44 PDT)
Definitly those are the ones I bought from eBay. Looks like your trying to make your blue car blue led'd like mine! Awesome
does anyone know how to remove instrument cluster?
Just every bolt and every screw u see just remove it.
hi everyone, i want to change my gauge lights to blue leds n i ordered them already (10x 6smd#194 blue led from ebay in hk).. but i also want to change the lights in the hvac too. what size n how many do i need for the hvac? thanx
The HVAC are #74 and I believe you'll need a total of 4.
How much did u pay for the dome light and what type is it?
So this thread has been sorta dead for a while now, but I am considering doing the same thing with red LED's and I was just trying to find some and when I searched for #194 I got a lot of T10 and 168 things appearing too. I don't know much about LED sizes but are these three all the same thing??
Also did you all remove the tint from the inside of the gauges??
what type of light is the dome? and do you know if it is the same as the trunk? thanks
The dome and trunk light are the same I believe. I replaced my dome one a while back, took the trunk one out and never put anything back :D
For removing tint, you need to scrape away the film that is on the inside of the face.
#194's sound right to me for inside the gauge cluster.
what # was the dome light?
I do not know, I bought mine 2-3 years ago. You can jam almost anything up there :D
The number should be on your stock one, take it out and check. My bulb is too big, so I know it is the wrong one. I will look around and see if I can find it.
im about to do this. will post results.
