Yeah, it's ok...I would have glued it like you did and then stretched some fleece over it and fiberglassed it so it actually looked like it was meant to be there. It still looks great though.

what i did was silicone the pod to the car that the gauge went in to then painted silver, i realy did not want to put the man hours in to fiberglassing this lol

I hear you, I don't really have that kind of time either. I think if you did it that way though you would probably enjoy it a little more. You can always do it later, I'm just gonna make a custom A-pillar gauge pod for 3 gauges.

Denis I gotta ask you dude did you get that steering wheel cover thingy off yourself? and if you did how hard was it to get off how did you take it off and it didn't bother the airbag when you did? also, if anyone knows, can you take off the passenger side airbag cover to paint it? I would really really like to, and one more thing, how hard is it to just take out the whole dash and paint it? lol

its just 2 screws, you will see em when you turn the wheel, did nothing with air bags.

Look at the pics of my car's interior, the entire dash is painted, i left everything there and used a damn paintbrush and a can of 9$ paint at my local hardware store specially made for plastics, i painted it over 2 years ago and it still holds, a few touch ups need to be done but thats normal.
