Didn't some older GM cars come with a speedometer like that? And by the way, it's only KM/H, so wont' work for us here in US. And you'd have to hide those wires.
Personally I don't think I'd do it just because our speedometer and tach are already in a very comfortable position, and I think personally the head's up display would be in a way of seeing things... If you're in a military jet, you got nothing but sky around you. Driving a car in city - another story.
My $0.02 USD. It's your call though.

haha yeah it looks pretty cool though, there are a lot of GM cars that came with them it seems, but the concept never took off i guess
i would buy it just to mess around with it, seems pretty cool
Corvette is actually starting to bring the HUD back, i was in the dealership today and they had two brand new cars both with HUD
150 bucks is a lot to just mess around with it. But if you actually like it you should get it no matter what people say. Its just like another toy.Originally Posted by thehunterooo

i know that some of the older Pontiac Grand dams and grand prix's had them.
I've seen some F-18 Hornets use those too. they're actually pretty neat... shows you the targets and land marks. Hunter, I don't think the eBay unit has the heat seeking capability though.

unless your James Bond i don't think you really need a targeting system in your car.
And if you were 007, you would be driving an Aston Martin DB9 or DBS, and MPG would be the least of your concerns.
