The part slides out once the two side panels are removed around the radio/ac. To remove the panels on the side of the radio/ac housing you will need a flat head screwdriver to pry them up, be careful, takes alot less force then you think. When you tackle the top part you will need to disconnect the hazard switch and unscrew 2 bolts then it should just slide right out.

I think it looks better in blue

Love to see pics MHPrior80, sounds like a good looking scheme.

I still would like to figure out how to remove my gauge cluster bubble so I can paint it without masking off the cars interior.

      Anyone got instructions?

I'd try to tell you, but since I stripped one of the screw fitting while trying to take mine apart (and now the damned screw just spins and I can't get it out), I'm probably not the best person for the job

it just unscrews...the first two screws suck and get cross threaded

alright for the lip around the guage bubble... underneath at the top are two screws undo those and the lip pops off....the for the bubble you see a bunch of screws around the sides, now undo all of those and it should slide off and to take the guage pod out you just have to unplug it (dont worry unplugging it does nothing)

hey whiteraven i just got the entire dash put back together, gauge cluster and all. i will snap some pics of it on a nicer day out. been snowing and crappy out all day.

i do have a question though...is there a way to remove the air bag lid off the dash without setting it off?? also i have tried to remove my glove box and cant figure that out...any suggestions?

just pull on the glove box when it is half way open but pull hard for the air bag cover it has two bolts under the dash but you have to take the air box under there out and i dont advise that because it dont go back in to easy and the screws try to strip out in the air bage cover. it seems like all the screws that go into plastic try to strip out.
