Help on installing my racing seats

Just wondering if anyone here has installed aftermarket racing seats in their ride. I know I way I can make it work but it is going to require alot of fabrication. The racing seat sliders have mounts at 16" inches on center and our Aveo's are spaced at 17" on center slider to slider. Just looking for ideas from other members.

      Thanks

i think you would be the first to put them on, i would but since the side airbags are intergrated into the seats, i would rather not sacrafice saftey for comfort.

Thank you! I visited his profile but I cannot find an email to contact him about his method of install. Does anyone have access to cardomain to get in contact with him or just have his email?

      Thanks

I got nothing, it's going to be a year or two before I even think about it seriously.

Get a stock Aveo seat bracket and cut off the parts needed to bolt it down. Now using that and some square, round and flat stock, you can weld up a bracket to mount your new seat brackets to.

This is what I did to install a fixed back seat in an impreza before brackets could be purchased.

You could try and ask Rhyno, the description of his car includes a racing seat. So he must have found a way to install one. It might be something as simple as an adapter of some kind or something along the lines of what supachad suggested.

Subachad, that is what I had in mind as far as fabrication is concerned, but I know it will be a lot of work and I already have so many other projects to finalize before Hot Import Nights....
