after i removed the oem stereo unit and put in a jvc i realized that i have lost LOTS of radio reception. does anybody know how to fix this, or will i just have to deal with the crappy location i am in??

That's been my experience with aftermarket radios too. I guess you have to look at the FM tuner specs when buying one. I guess they figure you aren't buying it to listen to the radio? There might be some device you can install, but I've always just dealt with it.

yeah i dont really listen to the radio, but when i change cd's, i'd reather not deal with an intermission of loud static. i guess i can just deal with some lame station noise inbetween cd's then.

People still listen to the radio? Don't you have an MP3 player?

I say park next to your favorite radio station a few hours a day to get your fill of music.

only problem is that once you listen to the radio for about an hour they start cycling back thru the same music and it gets annoying.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

Well, I do have a 60G iPod, but my radio doesn't have the aux input on the front of it

Soooo..I finally got an XM radio for the car but it uses an FM station and it sounds like crap once in a while...I would LOVE to get a 6 disc with the aux input for it and then I would pay to hard wire the XM radio.

its even more tragic for me!! at least your music is new. all the stuff i used to love to listen to is now classified as "classic rock". it hard for me to think of metallica and judas priest and ac/dc as the old stuff.
