If you get LED lights, the easiest way (not kidding) is to use fuse taps. They plug into a fuse in your fuse box, and then have a spot for the fuse that you put the fuse tap into, and it has a positive wire lead that runs off of it, also with a fuse attached to it. From there, just run the wire to the lights, then ground them. I have two neon(switching to LED soon) bars under my dashboard so it lights up the floormats. Looks great, and if you wire them to a constant source of power, you could even leave them on when you leave your car, since they don't draw much power at all.
