uh, a weekend? like 2-3 days tops if we are missing parts. If everything is there, and there are no surprises (there are always suprises) i could probably finish it same day.. but i like to take my time, take breaks, drink beer.Originally Posted by thehunterooo

My friends owned a chevy dealer since his dad had it in the 50s.. he had two brand new ones sitting in the showroom since new, one for each of his kids when the graduate college (they are 6 and 8? now).Originally Posted by Z34guy

My question: WHY THE HECK WOULD ANYONE LET TWO PERFECTLY GOOD GRAND NATIONALS SIT AND ROT EVER SINCE 1987?!?!?!?!!?!? For crying out loud, if the kids were MY age, that would make more sense...but for the love of everything, unless he's keeping them in tip top shape, that's a sin.
not too bad at all
they are show room new, climate controlled etc.. preserved as well. But 1980's rubber doesnt last 30 years. So the rad hoses, fuel lines, etc will decay from the inside out. Only about $500 in parts to replace it all with new before it goes back on the road. But a showroom car sitting that long can take as much to put on the road as a driven car driven through those years..
