      My Interior Progress

Okay, so I'm not just working on the outside, but the inside as well. I'm trying to make a nice "Stock upgraded" interior look, but with added sound deadening and nice finishes.

      Back Seat comes out.

Clean off rear floor area, tape down the carpet on the front edge. (I LOVE Gorilla tape, so much better than even Duct Tape.)

And here are dome floor mats I'm working on, all they need next are the edge trim and they are set.

Here's the material I am using.

And my starting pattern for the rear part.

I'll post more progress as I go, but now I gotta sleep...night shift over the weekend.

      It's looking good!!!

How much does the sound deadening stuff cost?

I saw it on the SEMA documentary the other week. It looked like great stuff.

Dynamat Xtreme is not too bad a price on eBay, Circuit City has some for the same price as eBay put theres lees SQ. If you want the best than go with Second Skin.

Did you get the faux diamond plate at Wal-Mart or something?

Yeah, I would say there are many other better/cheaper brands out there for sound deadening. I only u sed Dynamat because it was already installed under all the stereo crap that was previously in the car.

The diamond plate stuff is Safety Rubber vinyl tread from the industrial store. Nice thick stuff, 1/4" at the non-diamond-bumped areas.

Today I started getting stuff cutout and glued in. So far so good...but I'll need new scissors after I'm done, this stuff is durable and they will be dull when its all said and done.

Oh..and a small preview of what Santa left me...beautiful brushed aluminum.
