i'll check under the hood of mine and see where they pulled the cable through.
Looks like you have a hatch from the pic. If so there is a rubber groumet in the center of the firewall. You can remove it, punch a hole, fish wire thru and reinsert it. It will come thru behind the center of the dash, behind the radio. pretty easy.
yeh what Aveorob said. i had a hella time findin it and almost made a new hole. its a few inches to the right of the throttle body near the top of the firewall.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
tnx
whoa whoa whoa
you dont have to do that at all...i ran my wires with the other wires going to the back....you take them down the front right fender into the little gap under the door and bring them out there...there is a rubber peice you need to cut but this is way easyier than running it through the firewall....i took up all my upholstry on the one side and did it profesionally...you need to take your time doing this haha
Thats about what I did. I found where the hood release cable goes through and ran it through that hole.Originally Posted by AveoAmp
Hmmmm...so running the wire thru the firewall is unprofessional? I hope you ran yours thru some sort of rubber grommet so it will not chafe and short out and catch fire. Also use split loom on all wire in the engine bay.
no dont get me wrong...running through the firewall is really good but the way i took is really easy haha and it is going through a rubber gromet and is perfectly safe
right under the master cylinder reservoir there is a little grommet that u can poke a hole in and run the wire through and then run it along the inside up under the sill plates and then to the back of the car thats how i ran mine.
